In 1983 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Culture (major: Film Directing). He worked as a director of St.-Petersburg KVN Team (Club of the Merry and Inventive) until 1991.
Since 1991 he has worked for broadcasting and cinema production companies:
- Director for the State TV and radio Company ‘Petersburg – the Fifth Channel’,
- Director for the TV production company ‘VID’ / View on the Russian TV channel ‘ORT’,
- Executive producer and the director for the TV channel ‘ТV-6 MOSCOW’,
- Director for ‘REN TV – Petersburg’,
- Director for the TV Channel ‘VOT!’ in St.-Petersburg.
- Editor-in-chief (in 2009) for the Satellite TV channel ‘RTG TV’ (Russian Travel Guide).
He created over 200 TV programmes and TV shows, a TV serial, over 30 documentaries on travelling across Russia.
Yuri’s projects have been awarded with ‘TEFI’, ‘Crystal Eye’, and ‘Silver Archer’.
He was also given the national awards ‘Golden Ray’, ‘Big Digit’ by the RTG TV Channel. |

- Since 1980 he has been working as a director of photography for cinema and television.
- In 1996 Andreas started Art Media Co. Since that time he got involved into film directing; was one of the pioneers in creating HD & 3D media in Europe.
- In 2010 Andreas won tourism "Oscar": his film "Styria - The Green Heart of Austria" was voted as the best one in 14 festivals held under the auspices of the International Committee of Tourism Film CIFFT in Austria, Brazil, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, the USA, Serbia, France.
- In 2010 Andreas’ film "Styria - The Green Heart of Austria" became the Grand Prix winner of the first Russian International Culture and Tourism Film Festival "Kitovras" (Veliky Novgorod, Russia).
- Andreas Meschuh admits that in literature, arts and cinema it is Russia that sets a certain example for him.

- Has been working as the deputy director position of Catalonia Tourist Board Representations in Eastern Europe offices and CIS since 2004.
- An active member of ANTOR Board since 2005.
- In 2010 was awarded a medal for the “Merits in Tourism” by Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Poland.
- Participates in tourism related congresses all over Russia and CIS countries. Currently working on her doctor thesis on public-private partnership in tourism.
